Welcome to UCLA Dogs! We have a variety of services we are happy to offer.

Private Courses

UCLA's instructors offer private classes for those needing special attention or those simply wishing for the advantages of one-on-one participation with an instructor.

Please email us with your needs and interests and we will get back to you promptly.

Private training is $85/hour in the studio or $95/hour outside the studio. For some cases involving serious behavioral issues, an initial consultation interview may be necessary at the flat rate of $150.

To better serve our clients, Day Training may be an option as appropriate. Day Training consists of a trainer working with your dog several times a week. At the end of each week, lessons will be imparted to you the client. This offers the advantage of the skills of a professional dog trainer while helping you learn how to maintain your dog’s training.

Seminars

We offer seminars on a variety of topics, including aggression, fear, advance "come when called" and working with deaf dogs. Our continuing education is for owners as well as trainers.

Puppy Daycamp

Puppy Daycamp runs Wednesday through Friday, from 10:30am to 2:30pm. You can sign up any time. There is no set schedule for Daycamp; you may enroll your pup as soon as you like. Puppies must be 14 weeks of age or younger to start. We have both four and six week programs available.

You can bring your puppy to us or you can take advantage of our puppy school bus service.

We will start your puppy on the right track toward alone training, crate training, socialization, and more. This is the perfect solution for busy families with new puppies. We train your baby while you're out!

Busing is an additional service and not available in all areas, please contact us for details.

Play Groups!

UCLA is pleased to offer small dog play groups and puppy play groups. Small Dog Play is for dogs under 30lb, and is held Monday evenings at 7:30.

Puppy Play is only for puppies under 18 weeks of age. Puppy Play and is every Monday at 6:15PM.

Play is a "drop in", $10 cash or check at the door per dog. No credit or debit cards are accepted on-site. The schedule is subject to change so be certain to check the "Drop-In" page before attending. Come join us!

In the Beginning

This is a two hour puppy primer that covers house training, socialization, crate training, acquired bite inhibition, alone time training, body handling and resource guarding issues and, of course, answer any questions you may have about your new 4 footed addition. If you decide to schedule an in-home consult please phone or email and we will set a date and time to get you and your pup off to a good start.

The charge for "In the Beginning" is $170.00.

Small Dog and Puppy Daycare

Feel safe leaving your small dog or puppy under the supervision of our trained professionals. Daycare takes place in our studio Wednesday through Friday. Dogs are split into two groups: puppies under 18wks of age and older pups and adult dogs under 30lb.

Daycare availability is limited to 6 puppies and 6 adults for quality of care. Each group is run separately. 4 and 6 week packages are available. Adult dogs must be fully vaccinated, puppies must have had their first set of vaccinations.

Daycare is not available on major holidays. Start daycare any time, busing is available upon request in some areas (additional fees apply).

Our Policies

Missed classes
Clients assume full responsibility for attending classes for which they sign up, not including those cancelled by UCLA Dogs. The availability of make-up classes is not guaranteed.

Image Use
Classes and private sessions may be taped or recorded, all images are the property of UCLA Dogs. By signing up for a class you waive your right to these images.

Refunds
At UCLA Dogs we try to be as reasonable as possible with regards to refunds. We understand that things change. However when you sign up for a class you are reserving a spot; one that cannot be filled after class has started. Full refunds will be granted if you cancel 48 hours or more prior to the 1st class.
We will offer a partial refund if you cancel after 1st class. Credit only will be available toward other services if you drop out after attending more than one class. You are not considered having dropped out of a class until and unless you contact UCLA Dogs directly informing us that is your intent.

No refunds will be issued for Drop-In classes, play sessions or private training.
