Welcome to UCLA Dogs! We have a variety of services we are happy to offer.

Private Courses
UCLA's instructors offer private classes for those needing special attention or those simply wishing for the advantages of one-on-one participation with an instructor.

Please email us with your needs and interests and we will get back to you promptly.

The initial consultation interview for behavioral problems is $130. Private training thereafter is $75/hour in the studio or $85/hour outside the studio.

To better serve our clients, Day Training may be an option as appropriate. Day Training consists of a trainer working with your dog several times a week. At the end of each week, lessons will be imparted to you the client. This offers the advantage of the skills of a professional dog trainer while helping you learn how to maintain your dog’s training.

Dog Pro Business Workshop: Success With Families Terry Ryan and Veronica Boutelle

What is the seminar about?

Are you making the most of your work with families? Set yourself up for professional and financial success when you train with or teach to families. Highly respected trainer Terry Ryan and leading business consultant Veronica Boutelle team up for a one-day seminar.

Terry shares creative, practical strategies for involving the whole family in classes and private training, including:
  • Curriculum and activity ideas for including children in private training and classes
  • Tips for managing children in privates and classes
  • Ways to diplomatically talk with parents about their children’s involvement
  • Comfortable ways to address when children are interacting inappropriately with dogs
  • A guideline for level of training involvement for each age group

And Veronica discusses the keys to business success working with families, including:
  • Targeted marketing strategies
  • Adding services and classes designed specifically for families Special packaging to appeal to busy parents
  • Liability considerations around including children in training

Play Groups!

On hiatus until September 12th.
UCLA is offering small dog play groups and puppy play groups as well.

Small Dog Play is for dogs under 30lb, and is held Monday evenings at 7:15. Small dog play is $7 per dog.

Puppy Play is on hiatus until September 6th.

Puppy Play is only for puppies under 18 weeks of age and is every Sunday at 12:45pm. Puppy Play is $5 at the door or $7 for advanced signup through PayPal.

You can sign up using our convenient website or pay as you go via cash or check (no credit or debit cards are accepted on-sight). Come join us!
Play Group Inquiry
Puppy Daycamp
Puppy Daycamp runs Wednesday through Friday, from 10:30am to 2:30pm. We will begin offering this service January 12th, 2009, but you can sign up any time. There is no set schedule for Daycamp; once the service begins, you may enroll your pup as soon as you like. Puppies must be 16 weeks of age or younger to start. We have both four and six week programs available.

You can bring your puppy to us or, if you live within a 10 mile radius of UCLA, you can take advantage of our puppy school bus service.

We will start your puppy on the right track toward potty training, alone training, crate training, socialization, and more. This is the perfect solution for busy families with new puppies. We train your baby while you're out!

Daycamp Inquiry
In the Beginning
This is a two hour puppy primer that covers house training, socialization, crate training, acquired bite inhibition, alone time training, body handling and resource guarding issues and, of course, answer any questions you may have about your new 4 footed addition. If you decide to schedule an in-home consult please phone or email and we will set a date and time to get you and your pup off to a good start.

The charge for "In the Beginning" is $160.00.

Small Dog and Puppy Daycare
Feel safe leaving your small dog or puppy under the supervision of our trained professionals. Daycare takes place in our studio Wednesday through Friday. Dogs are split into two groups: puppies under 18wks of age and older pups and adult dogs under 30lb.

Daycare availability is limited to 6 puppies and 6 adults for quality of care. Each group is run separately. 4 and 6 week packages are available. Adult dogs must be fully vaccinated, puppies must have had their first set of vaccinations.

Daycare is not available on major holidays. Start daycare any time, busing is available upon request in some areas (additional fees apply).

Association of Pet Dog Trainers

Are you concerned that your dog or puppy is aggressive? Worried about his biting, leash pulling, house training, mounting ( “humping” ), chewing, digging or barking? Are you confused or concerned about dog dominance? Or maybe you just want to teach your dog some new tricks. We have puppy and adult dog classes geared toward the companion dog and those looking to become involved with obedience. We also have classes for those interested in showing their dog in conformation. First time puppy owner? Get off on the right paw with UCLA Dogs!
We are located conveniently in the U-District and an easy drive from the surrounding neighborhoods of Laurelhurst, Mountlake, Green Lake, Capitol Hill, Wallingford, North Seattle, South Seattle. Bellevue and Kirkland are short drives away via 520. Heck, even Everett is only 25 minutes away! Our clients feel it is well worth the trip.
