Small Dog Play Group

Bring your small dog (under 30lb*) and join the party!
Play group is designed for well-socialized dogs who enjoy interacting with others, are fully immunized and in good health.

*Please do adhere to the spirit of "small dog". If your lightly built medium size dog skates in at a little under 30lb, but you don't think "small breed" when you look at him or her, it's very likely that our Play Group will not be a good fit.

When:

Tuesday evenings, 7:30pm

Enrollment:

$15 cash at the door. Starting April 7th the cost of play will be $20.00.

Next class:

Closed due to Covid-19 order. Stay safe & enjoy your puppy!

What you need:

Just you and your dog! First time attendees must bring proof of current vaccinations, even if you have recently, or are currently enrolled in class. Dogs who have transitioned from Puppy Group must present updated vaccinations.

We maintain only those training methods approved by the AHA, so please, even in play groups, choke chains, prong collars or other aversive based training/husbandry techniques are not allowed. Thank you for maintaining UCLA Dogs as a "dog friendly" place!

What Play Group is Not

We love dogs! Even the socially awkward ones. However, if your adolescent or adult dog is reactive, extremely shy, or very uncomfortable in the presence of other dogs, Small Dog Play is not for you and your pal.
Small Dog play is not a fixed group and styles range from dogs that just come to hang out to those that enjoy a good romp.Because of that, it can be very stressful for dogs that ramp-up, avoid or shut-down in the presence of other dogs.Small Dog Play is meant to be a place for well socialized dogs that have good play skills to come and have a good time.If you and your dog need a little help, please contact us and let us know. Thanks!
