How'd I get here?

My name is Trixie. I am a 2-3 year old female Rat Terrier who weighs about 17 lbs. I have beautiful soft ears and big brown eyes. Because of a birth defect, I only have the use of three of my legs, but don't pass me by because you think I am disabled! I am very comfortable walking on three legs and I don't let it stop me from doing rattie runs in the yard or walking with my person on trails and sidewalks through town. I love to play and can use my front foot to try to get your attention. I made fast friends with the other small dogs in my foster home and I respect the foster cat. I am very happy to sit in your lap and cuddle, especially if I can put my head on your chest. Everyone who pets me, including respectful children, always comments on my soft fur. I am reliably house trained when kept on a schedule. I do fine on most hard floors, but I prefer carpet-- or at least area rugs that I can use to walk around on -- so that I feel comfortable moving about the house.
